Welcome to our world of Autism!

We have four main characters and a supporting cast of many fine people and animals that will pop up in this blog from time to time.

Maeve: currently 7 years old and has been diagnosed with severe autism, 17p13.3 microduplication syndrome, SPD, complex partial seizures, PICA (eats anything non edible but won’t eat food) and being one of the most strikingly gorgeous chromo-cuties ever!

Josie: currently 6 years old and has been diagnosed with moderate autism and being cute as a button, also she is quite the dancer and drama queen.

Mama a.k.a. Vera: currently 32 years old, artist and one of the toughest autism mama bears you will find.

Daddy a.k.a. Barry: currently 42 years old, HVAC technician and the best blended daddy in the world who has taken on my daughters as his own and is truly the love of my life.

Animal casting: Argos (great dane), Rukni (pitbull), Sorley (ginger mutt), Jasper (black and white kitty), Fae (gray tabby girl), Liam (gray tabby boy) and a few homeless kitties that won’t go hungry while I am around.

Those are the immediate players in our world of autism; but we also have Aleria (21, Barry’s daughter), teachers, VMRC, neurologists, doctors, friends, family and a partridge in a pear tree.

I won’t post every detail of our life; but the important stuff, anything autism related, behavioral issues, dietary issues and anything that strikes my fancy at the time.
